inspired, calmed, connected through song
As a conscious creator, Manda aspires to use her music to engage and motivate her audience /community to explore and deepen their creative impulses while fostering a stronger connection with the natural world and one another.
our song
Our song is our soul set free. It is poetry that vibrates, moves, and dances. It is a place for us to gather and to share, and to speak our truth and hum softly or loudly together, in unison. When we sing, we connect ourselves to something bigger and to each other. Music has been deep gift to me. It has softly nudged my spirit to look deeply into the shadows and find the light.
about Manda
Manda learned the piano at the age of 5 & began writing music at 18 after teaching herself to play the guitar. She joined several rock groups, & most notably was the singer, songwriter, and bass player for the band Manda & the Marbles.
The group was founded in 1997 and Manda wrote the majority of the material for the groups' 4 albums.
In 1999, Manda lost all hearing in one ear due to a rare viral illness, but this did not stop her. 2001 was the band's breakout year; Playing the CMJ Music Marathon and signing with Go-Kart Records. The band toured the US several times.
During 2003, the band was proclaimed a band on the rise by Rolling Stone Magazine, & Manda Marble was voted as one of the Top 100 Women in Rock by the readers of UK magazine- Miss Minx. They were the first band to release a song using podcasting and were heralded for this achievement on MTV and the BBC.
